American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) - Developer and provider of voluntary consensus standards, related technical information, and services.  Specialize in services that (1) promote public health and safety, and the overall quality of life; (2) contribute to the reliability of materials, products, systems and services; and (3) facilitate national, regional, and international commerce.

Defense Environmental Network & Information eXchange (DENIX) - The Defense Environmental Network & Information eXchange (DENIX) provides DoD personnel with timely access to environmental legislative, compliance, restoration, cleanup, and DoD guidance information. It is intended to serve as a central electronic "meeting place" where information can be exchanged among environmental professionals worldwide.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) - The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a non-governmental, worldwide federation of national standards-setting bodies. The mission of ISO is to promote the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services, and to developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.

National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) - The National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) is a voluntary association of State and Federal agencies and tribes with full opportunity for input from the private sector. NELAC's purpose is to establish and promote mutually acceptable performance standards for the operation of environmental laboratories.

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) - The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) was established to support industry, commerce, scientific institutions, and all branches of Government. NIST has four major programs, including (1) Measurement and Standards Laboratories. (2) Advanced Technology Program. (3) Manufacturing Extension Partnership, a grassroots effort with nationwide network of local centers offering technical and business assistance to smaller manufacturers. (4) An outreach program associated with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Navy Metrology and Calibration Program (METCAL) - Navy Metrology and Calibration Program (METCAL) maintains a Webpage with a number of references related to measurement sciences and calibration standards.

USEPA Office of Water - The USEPA Office of Water (OW) specializes in drinking water quality issues. The OW's Office of Science and Technology issues a list of Analytical Test Methods for analyzing the chemical and biological components of wastewater, drinking water, sediment, and other environmental samples. This list includes Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) policy and guidance.

USEPA Quality Staff - The USEPA Quality Staff oversee the Agency-wide implementation of the EPA Quality System. The Quality Staff also develops quality assurance policy and guidance and provides training and outreach for all EPA organizations.

USEPA SW-846 - The EPA publication SW-846, entitled Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste, Physical/Chemical Methods, is OSW's official compendium of analytical and sampling methods that have been evaluated and approved for use in complying with the RCRA regulations. SW-846 functions primarily as a guidance document setting forth acceptable, although not required, methods for the regulated and regulatory communities to use in responding to RCRA-related sampling and analysis requirements.
